Terry Fox Collaborative Poster and Art Activity
Create meaningful Terry Fox art with these large Terry Fox collaborative posters. In this engaging classroom activity, every student colours one section before the pieces are assembled to reveal a complete poster celebrating Terry Fox, his Métis heritage and his lasting legacy.
Four poster options are included in English and French. Choose between a Terry Fox quote about following your dreams or a bilingual message recognizing his Métis heritage and courage.
This Terry Fox collaborative art project is perfect for preparing students for the Terry Fox Run, exploring Canadian heroes or adding art to your Métis education. It also provides a meaningful starting point for classroom conversations about courage, perseverance, identity and the difference one person can make.

→ “Dreams are made possible if you try.” – Terry Fox
→ “Terry Fox was Métis. His courage lives on in all of us.”
Each finished Terry Fox collaborative poster measures approximately 42.5 by 55 inches. Every poster is divided into 25 printable pages, allowing each student to contribute one piece to the finished artwork.
Students can use crayons, markers or pencil crayons to complete their individual sections. Once the pages are assembled, the different colours and designs come together to create a unique Terry Fox poster.
Display the finished artwork on a classroom bulletin board, in the school hallway or near your Terry Fox Run display. The large finished size makes it an eye-catching way to celebrate Terry Fox while showing what students can accomplish when they work together.
This low-prep Terry Fox activity can be used with a single class or completed collaboratively across several classes. It is an engaging option for elementary and middle-school teachers looking for a Terry Fox poster, Canadian heroes activity, Métis education resource or collaborative classroom art project.
