1) Inuit Culture and Life
Learn all about Inuit culture, traditions and modern life. Living in the Arctic is not what most of us are used to and the Inuit culture is incredible. Students will learn about how Inuit people lived and survived in the past and learn about Inuit communities that exist today. Students will learn about inukshuks and igloos as well.

2) Igloos
The perfect winter or Christmas time activity for you and your students. Learn about how the Inuit people used and built igloos in the Canadian arctic! 3 pages of learning, followed by reflection questions and a lesson plan for a building activity. Students will create their own igloos with modelling clay. This is a favourite activity for my students!

Discover the importance of inukshuks in Inuit culture and life. Students will learn about the various types of inukshuks and what their uses are. The art project turns out beautifully – students create inukshuks using sponges and paint. This is part of my Inuit culture unit, but can be done on its own.

4) Indigenous Art – Winter Métis Dot Art
Create Indigenous Art with Métis Dot Art, which mimics Indigenous beadwork. This artwork turns out beautifully AND you are teaching your students Indigenous culture.
