Students follow step-by-step instructions to create a pumpkin directed drawing using the art shapes they have studied.
This guided drawing activity helps students practice observation, following directions and applying their learning through art.
Jack-o’-Lantern Face Craft
Students create their own pumpkin faces by selecting, cutting and gluing Northwest Coast art shapes.
The different shape combinations allow each student to create a unique Jack-o’-lantern craft.
Pumpkin Stencil Activity
Students use the included pumpkin stencil for a poking activity that supports fine motor control and hand-eye coordination.
The stencil can also be used for tracing, colouring or creating additional pumpkin art.
Cultural Appropriation at Halloween Lesson
Help students understand what cultural appropriation is and why cultures and identities should not be treated as Halloween costumes.
