The resource includes five core activities, a land acknowledgement writing checklist, reflection questions, a colouring page and a complete “Learning From the Land” bulletin board kit.
Rather than having students copy or repeat a prepared statement, these activities guide them through the learning that should come first. Students investigate the Indigenous Nation or Nations connected to their local area, reflect on their own relationship with the land and consider how acknowledgement can be connected to continued learning and meaningful action.
