2. Indigenous Art Writing Craft

Students respond to meaningful writing prompts and create a display-ready craft featuring Indigenous art.

3. Indigenous Heroes Research Project

Students research a notable First Nations, Métis or Inuit person in Canada.

The guided project encourages students to investigate the individual’s life, identity, accomplishments and contributions before reflecting on what makes that person an important role model.

4. Collaborative Posters

Two collaborative poster activities allow the class to work together to create large displays for National Indigenous Peoples Day or National Indigenous History Month.

Each student completes one section before the pieces are assembled into a finished classroom poster.

5. Indigenous Peoples Day Bulletin Board
